Dreft; and Things Just Like It.

I love music, good music, because of how it moves me. It moves me. I have been fortunate enough to have an aray of friends that have introduced me to many different ways of living this life. The people who have always intrigued me the most have been the artists; particularly the poets. You see, simple people - the proverbial "meathead" or "airhead" - have a sence of vulnerability. The artist doesn't in normal everyday life. The artist acts. The know that they are not normal; or rather, they don't know that they are. So they act the part they think they should be acting, rather than like themselves. Until they get to their medium. That raw vulnerability, the complicated mess, the feeling simplified, intensified, distortedly clear; these are what you can find in the art. The poetry, the picture, the guitar riff... Can you see what it really means? Can you feel it? I hope so.
